Artfully displaying several pieces from the stunning Cork Cladding Collection, the main display is a statement window structure that immediately draws visitors to the showroom while still allowing them to see into the interior.
Liqui’s design team took simple flat Cork wall tiles and gave them a three-dimensional twist by creating a hanging structure that takes the form of asymmetrical drapes or curtains. The interwoven geometric pattern of the triangular cut tiles is held together by bespoke brackets specially made by Liqui Group.
“Launching our stunning new range of Cork Wall Coverings at CDW2019 was the best idea we had! With footfall through the showroom literally in the thousands it was such a fantastic way to wow so many individuals passionate about design. Cork with its sustainable, acoustic and aesthetic credentials went down a treat with everyone. These credentials matched perfectly with the values of the Liqui Design team, they were very excited to create a showstopper for us with this material. We were thrilled with what they came up with and it certainly had the desired effect!” says Lynton Gurr, Havwoods Showroom Consultant.
Elsewhere in the showroom you’ll find a three-dimensional cork wall cladding made up of different sized faceted wall tiles that stand out from the surface. These are in two contrasting shades that fade from dark to light and take their inspiration from pixel art.
The structural pillars within the showroom have been covered in the new bark-like cork cladding called ’Node’ which gives them the appearance of tree trunks. For this project, Liqui Group have pushed the idea of visual merchandising finding different and unusual ways of showcasing the new Havwoods Cork Cladding Collection during this important design event.
