In just eight weeks this one-time garage and former nightclub in Shrewsbury was transformed into a spectacular rum bar and 60-cover restaurant. In a full blown celebration of reclaimed wood, with some creative artwork, imaginative lighting and live music, it genuinely feels like a throwback to some back street Havana hangout. And, whilst the food is spicy, according to the reviewers it takes second place to the surroundings: “The room itself is what makes it my favourite new restaurant of the year. It is, in a word, stunning.”
