When it came time to convert an old industrial shed into a high-end office befitting Insight Building Services’ innovative project delivery, high-quality craftsmanship and honest approach to business, there was no doubt that the personal attachment to such a project came rife with an increased amount of pressure and internal expectation.
With an ingrained growth mindset, the team utilised the space by focusing on the high ceilings in order to create a feeling of light and transparency. As you walk into the office, you’re greeted by ample amounts of greenery; a tapestry of intermingling ferns overlooks its home base.
The detailed Havwoods Reclaimed Oak from the Relik Collection. Selected because of its easy application and flexibility to be placed across a multitude of surfaces, the earthiness of the oak works in unison with the wall of green to evoke the imitation of fresh ferns sprouting from a forest bed.
To provide a sense of flow and consistency, the reclaimed timber flooring has been placed on the reception desk, in the boardroom and throughout the many offices. By applying the planks in a vertical direction, they work to further accentuate the high ceilings creating a space of balanced refinement.
