Although Nandos came to the UK in 1992, initially the world’s most famous casual dining chain focused on takeaway food. It wasn’t until some years later that it moved to a mixed service counter, with individually designed branches that really distance it from the traditional chain restaurant image. In this branch, opened in 2013, natural wood from Havwoods and neutral coloured walls are a backdrop to some of the company’s stunning collection of South African art.
