Rethinking the traditional workplace
Creating a welcoming interior
Designed by SKB Architects, the Baird office in Seattle reimagines the traditional wealth management workplace through a warmer, more hospitality-focused approach.
Moving away from the dark, formal and rigid aesthetic often associated with financial environments, the interior has been designed to feel welcoming, comfortable and connected. The overall scheme introduces a softer approach to workplace design, creating an environment that feels professional while remaining inviting for both employees and clients.
Where work and hospitality meet
The layout carefully balances the need for privacy and focused work with opportunities for collaboration and community.
An open work area accommodates the trading team, while shared amenities encourage employees to come together throughout the day. At the heart of the office is a large café with open seating and extensive natural light, creating a relaxed social hub and bringing a hospitality-inspired quality to the workplace.
Bringing Blonde tones underfoot
A custom blonde-toned plank from the V Collection was selected for the flooring throughout the office. Its light, natural tones introduce warmth and character to the scheme, complementing the softer material palette and helping to create an inviting atmosphere.
Flowing between working and communal areas, the wood flooring provides a cohesive foundation for the interior and enhances the light-filled quality of the space.
Designed for hardworking interiors
The V Collection is ideal for those looking for a durable wood flooring solution that offers exceptional value for money.
Well suited to hardworking commercial environments, the collection combines practicality with the natural beauty and character of real wood. At Baird, the custom blonde finish supports the warm, hospitality-led aesthetic while providing a practical foundation for the demands of a busy workplace.
