The client was keen to retain the original elements but to further enhance the features, rather than compete with them. Blending perfectly with the exposed wooden beams, the variety in the wooden flooring adds further texture and tonal contrast.  Relevance50 Versailles was chosen for the entrance flooring, whilst Relevance50 Herringbone was picked for the living room, helping to create a distinction between the two areas.  

The Herringbone and Versailles interplay between dark and light tones, helping to add visual interest. The combination of light and dark wood flooring plays with the natural light that enters through the large windows, helping to blur the boundaries between the indoors and outdoors. The darker tones mirror the earthier exterior tones, whilst the lighter hues help to reflect the sunlight filtering through the windows.
