Set within the former Desmond’s department store in Downtown Los Angeles, BOND DTLA reimagines the historic building as five floors of luxury shared workspace. Havwoods’ Columba flooring establishes a light, refined foundation throughout, with its Platinum color tones complementing the building’s abundant natural light and carefully restored 1930s character.
A Platinum foundation
Prime grade, refined character
Sitting within Havwoods’ Platinum color group, Columba captures the pale, softly washed character of this versatile palette. Its subtle oak undertones and lightly cerused appearance bring brightness to the interior, while the Prime grade European Oak creates a clean and consistent aesthetic. These understated tones provide a calm backdrop for muted pastels, antique brass, leather seating and hand-glazed tiles.

One color, two formats
Two formats of Columba were selected to create variation while maintaining continuity across BOND DTLA. Columba Herringbone (HW16009P) introduces pattern and movement within key communal areas, including the open lounge and kitchen, while Columba Plank (HW16409P) provides a more streamlined expression of the same Platinum tone and Prime grade character elsewhere in the workspace.
Italian Collection versatility
Part of Havwoods’ Italian Collection, Columba demonstrates how a single timber color can be used across multiple formats to define and connect different areas of a commercial interior. Both Columba Herringbone (HW16009P) and Columba Plank (HW16409P) are PEFC™ Certified (PEFC/16-37-1417), combining considered material sourcing with the refined aesthetic required for this reimagined co-working environment.
