The glittering past of Los Angeles’ famed Desmond's department store was revived and reimagined into BOND DTLA;  five floors of luxury shared office space.

The elevator opens to unveil our Columba herringbone pattern, pointing to an incredible open lounge seating space, custom kitchen, and anchored by arched phone booths (upholstered in mohair) for private conversations.

Beautifully paired with muted pastel tones, Columba herringbone and plank, from our Italian Collection, were chosen to provide a slightly-cerused, light, durable floor that weaves together all of the building’s interior spaces. These sandy hues are a calm backdrop for luxe materiality.

No detail was missed in the design conception of BOND DTLA to preserve the historical building’s 1930-era aesthetic. Hand glazed tiles, custom light fixtures, antique brass and leather seating all provide a thoughtfully eclectic mix of old and new. The original curved picture window on the building’s 6th floor provides sweeping natural light that further complements Columba’s unique oak undertones.
