Situated in a prime position overlooking the prestigious Lord’s Cricket Ground, in the heart of leafy St John’s Wood, is Cavendish House. The penthouse has recently undergone a full transformation, with the refurbishment including four bedrooms and four bathrooms, to create a truly exclusive, remarkable space.
The brief was to create a penthouse that was relaxed and calming, yet high end and modern. Stunning light fixtures and fittings illuminate a space that is all at once contemporary, yet timeless, with beautiful wood features, and finishes in sumptuous textures and colours such as gold, marble and velvet. Sophisticated pops of color are incorporated into the scheme through large wall art pieces and decorative soft furnishings and accessories.
The project is further characterised by bespoke cabinetry, rustic touches and accents of brass seen around the space. The wood flooring plays a key role in the overall look of the project, with the client opting for the deep, rich tones of the Quadro board from the VenturePlank collection. This particular board was selected because the color of the wood enhances the overall scheme, and the client was able to match the joinery and doors to the floor. Characterized by its spectrum of interesting shades and smooth surface texture, this flooring provided the perfect finish for this high-end London scheme.
