Common Grounds’ Pearl District location transforms a historic Portland warehouse into a contemporary, human-focused workplace. Central to the interior is Mainstreet (ZZZ1002), a European Oak plank that has been bespoke finished specifically for the project, bringing warmth and natural character to the expansive workspace.

Specified in a Character grade, Mainstreet celebrates the distinctive qualities of European Oak through visible grain patterns and natural variation. These details introduce texture and individuality beneath the contemporary furnishings, while complementing the original architectural character of the historic warehouse.
A bespoke finish for Common Grounds
For Common Grounds, Mainstreet (ZZZ1002) was given a custom finish tailored to the project’s interior palette. The bespoke treatment allows the natural qualities of the European Oak to remain prominent while creating a floor that feels considered specifically for its surroundings. Used throughout the open workplace, the planks provide visual continuity between collaborative, communal and individual working areas.
