With a vision to create the highest quality lights, J Adams & Co has been operating for more than half a century, with a factory in Birmingham, UK and a commitment to providing customers with some of the very best lighting on the market.
The company meticulously undertakes every stage of the production process, from processing the raw materials to assembly and wiring. For the redesign of the brand’s Clerkenwell showroom, the brief was to create a space which felt both welcoming and stylish. The finished result is warm and inviting of which the designers worked with Havwoods to supply the flooring throughout.
Havwoods’ Relevance50 Character 1-Strip boards from the Venture Plank collection have been used for the staircase, while the Fendi Herringbone boards have been installed throughout the rest of the showroom. The versatile flooring provides varying tone and texture to each area which complements the numerous lighting designs which adorn the walls, ceilings and tables, while the soft, Smoky Grey coloring of the planks offers a soft and subtle aesthetic.
With an open-plan layout, an earthy colour palette including rust-colored bench seating and a bold terrazzo table in the centre of the space, the decorative scheme comes together in a harmonious way. The red brick flooring also adds further warmth to the showroom, whilst the artwork provides a stunning finishing touch.
