The Parke West development , with 210 multi-family units and a 175 room hotel, provides “charmed elegance” in its luxuriously-unique gathering and living spaces in Nashville, TN.

Designing multi-unit properties takes special attention to make them feel like home for an unknown occupant. The design approach, even more so since people are spending more time at home, is to create a sanctuary for residents that feels like an elevated and more exciting experience of home. The Lyne Interior team want to create public spaces that feel like an extension of someone's residence.

This residential property features thoughtful texture and materials throughout the common spaces. These textures, including the herringbone wood floors from Havwoods, age beautifully with touch, like super soft mohair, leather, brass, and natural stone.

A smoky gray herringbone was chosen to create a globally inspired, graceful aesthetic using rhythmic, geometric pattern and neutral tones. Havwoods' brushed European oak, UV oiled finish in a herringbone pattern fit our conceptual narrative perfectly.

Parke West’s design inspiration comes from Nashville’s affectionate nickname, The Athens of the Southbecause of its replica Parthenon building near the property. The design team imagined a lifestyle brand for seekers and achievers looking for meaning and connectivity.

Inspiration always comes from travel experiences for Lynley Hammes, owner of Lyne Interiors. The fluted marble details were inspired by a tour of the Acropolis, marble portals from Grant Hotel Angiolieri in Vico Equense, the idea for commissioned relics from Urban Hotel in Madrid, herringbone floors from Musee Rodin.

"There’s a cohesive level of respect between designers and developers in Nashville, that foster relationships,
collaboration and authenticity. It’s a great place to be a designer."

- Lynley Hammes (owner of Lyne Interiors) on when asked what makes designing in Nashville special.
