Situated in north London, is the beautiful home of Alex Holloway, Director of interior architectural studio Holloway Li.
Taking inspiration from 70s interiors and the world of sci-fi, the large living space comprises of a kitchen diner, living room, home office and a statement bathtub at the end of the room. Combining abstract furniture, a vibrant colour palette and mixed materials, it is a striking home.
Havwoods’ Snow Select 300mm 1-Strip from the Venture Plank collection was chosen for the project to complement the earthy tones of the space. A lighter plank in colour, the flooring acts as the perfect backdrop for a room full of charisma, helping to reflect light around the room resulting in an airy yet inviting room.
The warm undertones of the flooring blend seamlessly with the plaster and limewash walls and pastel colourways of the furniture and accessories. The chef-style stainless steel kitchen provides a welcome contrast and an industrial edge, whilst naturally helping to zone the room.
Spanning across the entire living space, the wide planks give the illusion of light and depth that works beautifully with a 70s themed interior. With its eclectic range of colours and textures, the home projects a cosy feel, visually inviting to admirers as well as the homeowner.
