Havwoods is proud to partner with the Forest Stewardship Council to provide hundreds of sustainably-sourced wood flooring. Along with companies around the globe, we're participating in FSC Forest Week from September 24th - September 30th, 2022.
The theme for the FSC Forest Week is “Choose Forests. Choose FSC.” By choosing FSC certified products, you help to protect forests and all the life they sustain.
Forests play a key role in combatting climate change and supporting biodiversity. Many products, including the ones we use to build and furnish our homes and places we visit, come from forests. If wood products are illegally sourced and uncertified, then this risks an unsustainable increase in deforestation.
Therefore, FSC promotes sustainable forest management so forests and people can thrive. If you choose responsibly sourced and certified products, the certifications cover everything from ensuring that every tree that is cut down is re-planted to managing the actual environment of the wildlife, to ensuring companies employ local people and pay them a fair salary.
FSC provides one of the world's most rigorous and trusted forest certification systems and is trusted by NGOs, businesses and consumers to help protect healthy, resilient forests for all, forever.
