The famous department store, Whiteley’s, has been brought back to life following a £3 billion makeover as the centrepiece of Bayswater, one of London’s most fashionable neighbourhoods.
Once a deserted mausoleum, the building has been transformed with a contemporary and truly eye-catching refurbishment comprised of residences, a retail space, restaurant, hotel and spa.
The Whiteley London aims to offer luxury and relaxation to all its guests, with an interior design scheme to match. Cosy yet stylish, bold yet understated, every piece of furniture and final detail has been carefully considered to create the ‘wow’ factor from top to bottom.
Twelve of Havwoods’ products were used in total across various areas of the hotel, including herringbone and plank designs. Complementing the retro, bold and vibrant interiors used throughout, each area has a unique personality, whilst still blending together perfectly. The entire décor is a feast for the eyes with an emphasis on colour and pattern, but always exuding luxury and sophistication.
