Havwoods is proud to be supporting the famous Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge! The team we are sponsoring is called In Deep Ship, a group of professionals who decided to swap their desk and city-based jobs for the water to raise money for three amazing charities: Crisis, Covenant House, and Anthony Nolan.
The team will be facing the challenge of rowing across The Atlantic Ocean, which will mean up to 50 days at sea facing storms and 20 ft waves…

The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is the premier event in ocean rowing, an annual challenge that will take the participating teams more than 3000 miles west from La Gomera, Canary Islands, to Antigua in the Caribbean. The race begins in early December bringing together teams from all walks of life united by the same objective: to take on the unique challenge of crossing an ocean in a rowing boat.
The teams will be experiencing sleep deprivation, salt sores and physical extremes inflicted by the race. Rowers are left with their own thoughts, an expanse of the ocean and the job of getting the boat safely to the other side. The mental and physical endurance will result in a life-changing achievement.
