A bright and breezy lakeside home designed by Amie Freling, where our Alabastro planks in a soft platinum tone bring light and texture to the ceiling, and creativity shines through a custom wine wall made from leftover boards.
Perched on the tranquil shores of Cayuga Lake in upstate New York, this lakeside retreat designed by Amie Freling of Meme Hill Studio captures the serenity of its surroundings through soft tones, natural materials, and beautiful craftsmanship.
In the home’s striking double-height living space, Havwoods’ Alabastro HW16404 planks were installed across the cathedral-style ceiling, creating a serene canopy of European oak overhead. The platinum-toned finish of Alabastro enhances the home’s airy coastal aesthetic, reflecting natural light and echoing the calming hues of the lake beyond.

Embracing a creative and sustainable approach, leftover Alabastro planks were repurposed to craft a custom wine wall display, visually connecting the kitchen to the main room, adding a distinctive architectural accent that perfectly complements the warm, inviting interiors.
The result is a home that feels at once relaxed and refined, where design ingenuity meets stunning material quality. From ceiling to statement wall, the project highlights the versatility of Havwoods’ Italian collection, proving that true design inspiration often starts with the details.
