Designed as a welcoming information center for an upcoming Nursery-12 Grade School in San Jose, this 10,000 sq ft adaptive reuse project transforms part of an existing commercial building into a warm, connected environment. Havwoods’ Holme (HW2069LF) European Oak flooring provides a natural foundation throughout, helping unite reception, presentation, meeting and staff spaces within the open-plan interior.
A natural foundation for community
Brightened by blonde Oak
Holme sits within Havwoods’ Blonde color group, bringing a light, natural character to the Community Center. Its soft oak tones complement the abundance of timber used throughout the design, including the linear acoustic ceiling fins, while helping enhance the sense of openness and visual continuity across the different functional areas.

Classic character, natural detail
Specified in a Classic grade plank, Holme balances natural variation with a refined overall appearance. The plank format allows the grain and character of the European Oak to become a defining element of the interior, creating a calm backdrop that works particularly well within this education and community-focused setting.
Designed with PurePlank
Holme is part of the PurePlank Collection, a versatile range of engineered European Oak flooring designed for projects seeking natural character and dependable performance. Holme (HW2069LF) is also made using FSC® Certified Timber (FSC-C009500), supporting the considered material palette at the heart of the Community Center’s design.
