Hotel Lucia’s historic downtown lobby was transformed with our customised Mainstreet Raw in Bay City Bourbon, bringing warmth, luxury, and contemporary elegance to this iconic Portland landmark.
Located in the heart of downtown Portland, Hotel Lucia has long been celebrated for its exceptional photography collection, spacious accommodations, and vibrant hospitality, including its nightly craft beer hour and dining at The Imperial, one of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants. First opening its doors in 1909, the hotel has remained a popular gathering space for locals and travellers alike, earning a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
Design Brief
For the recent lobby renovation, the goal was to create a space that embraced the hotel’s historic character while introducing a modern, luxurious feel. The lobby needed to serve as a welcoming first impression, balancing warmth, sophistication, and durability to withstand high levels of foot traffic.
Our Solution
We supplied a customised Mainstreet Raw floor. This bespoke flooring solution provided the perfect foundation for the hotel’s contemporary redesign, offering deep, rich tones that complement the mix of modern art, bold furnishings, and timeless architectural detailing.
The result is a lobby that feels both inviting and artful, with the flooring seamlessly tying together the eclectic interiors. The rich bourbon tones bring warmth and depth to the space, enhancing its refined yet approachable atmosphere.
