This monochromatic marvel located in Melbourne's Milld Park, is the work of Zerni Projects, who took on the beautiful home project and breathed new life and light into it.
Havwoods Ascot Herringbone wood flooring was selected to feature throughout, in order to bring some character and richness into the contemporary design.
'Less is more' is the approach that designers Zerni Projects went with to turn this period home into a contemporary, light-filled marvel. Breadth and light are considered throughout this stunning property, with the home adopting a ‘Light is Life’ mantra.
The injection of natural light into as much of the residence as possible is key to the design. Coupled with beautiful greenery with four areas of natural garden life entering the home. Upon entering the home, between the front of the original house and the new addition, an arched steel door provides a stylish and bold transition from heritage to contemporary.
Once you have entered through the door, you are greeted by light, symbolizing a move away from the home’s period past into a new chapter; a home for the new generation with a nod to the past.
Ascot, one of seven click-system herringbone products, from the Design From Havwoods range, provided a luxe foundation to the design, selected to add character and richness and to create juxtaposition between the clean lines of the home, joinery and steel framed windows.
