Discover how Bronzo set the scene for the new Nando’s Montrose restaurant in Houston, Texas.

For over a decade, Nando’s has been a trusted global partner of Havwoods, collaborating on projects around the world to deliver warm, characterful spaces that reflect the brand’s distinctive identity. Their latest Montrose location in Houston, Texas, was no exception. Designed by Caroline Smith of Michael Hsu Office of Architecture in Austin, the brief called for a restaurant that radiates personality, vibrancy, and a strong sense of place.

Central to achieving this vision is Havwoods’ Bronzo (HW16006) from our Italian Collection. A smoked product in a rich auburn color tone, Bronzo’s smaller plank size makes it especially versatile, allowing it to be laid in creative formats such as the custom herringbone chosen here. The pattern not only adds depth, movement, and rhythm to the space but also draws the eye naturally through the restaurant, guiding guests and anchoring the eclectic interplay of colors, textures, and furnishings.

By balancing bold architectural gestures with an inviting warmth, Bronzo provides the foundation for storytelling within the design. The result is a lively yet welcoming atmosphere, one where the flooring plays a central role in shaping the dining experience and strengthening the long-standing partnership between Havwoods and Nando’s.
