A San Francisco landmark reborn with modern grandeur.
In the heart of Union Square, the historic Beacon Grand Hotel, has been meticulously restored to its original splendor. The extensive renovation sought to preserve the building’s iconic Renaissance Revival architecture while seamlessly integrating the comfort and sophistication expected of contemporary luxury hospitality.
Inside, the design reflects a thoughtful blend of palatial old-world elegance and modern refinement. The interiors feature high ceilings, classic architectural flourishes, and rich European oak flooring that ties the guest experience together with warmth and authenticity.
For the guest rooms and suites, we provided Lanark (RECM3150) from our Henley Collection, a rustic European oak plank in a deep brunette tone, marked by striking natural variations and dark grain patterns. The result is a richly textured surface that complements the hotel’s layered palette of blues, brass, and neutral tones. The floors ground each space with understated character and an inviting sense of permanence.
Combining heritage and innovation, each guest room merges timeless materials with modern comforts, integrated technology, plush textiles, and beds that beckon. The overall atmosphere captures the spirit of San Francisco itself: historic, vibrant, and ever evolving.
Lanark is part of our Henley Collection, available for custom order, offering architects and designers a distinctive option for projects that demand both durability and design distinction.
