Holiday Inns’ open lobby concept turns a space once designated for arrivals and departures into a flexible environment where guests can eat, drink, work, relax and even socialise. Often demanding thoughtful design considerations within challenging budgets, here ADS Design specified Relik as cladding to warm the space.

Gold medal winner at the 2016 London Design Awards for Hospitality Interior Design and a finalist in two classifications of the European Hotel Design Awards, this grand, late Victorian building has been refurbished and restored to glory by interior architects Goddard Littlefair.

This magnificent, award winning family home in Cheshire is built in the Victorian style but with many modern interior features. Venture Plank Blanco herringbone was the flooring of choice and makes the perfect foil for the high ceilings and deep skirting boards.

German Gymnasium, London, UK
This imposing building located between London’s King’s Cross and St Pancras railway stations was England’s first purpose-built gym and hosted the indoor events at the 1866 London Olympic Games. Now it has been transformed into a European Grand Café featuring HW3612 Venture Plank Salvo for restaurant group D&D London.

Mamas and Papas
Dalziel and Pow, tasked with the refurbishment of all Mamas and Papas 37 UK stores, had a clear idea of the type of wood flooring they were looking for; so clear they actually sent a photograph to match to. HW3001 Fendi herringbone was the perfect match.

The Mulberry, Muswell Hill, London, UK
When KDPA were asked to create a new bar at the top of Muswell HIll they looked to the site’s unique architecture and origins as a tea room and milk depot for inspiration. Of course, they looked to Havwoods too: HW698 American Black Walnut, RECM3082 Oak Albury, RECM2025 Reclaimed Barn Oak.

Notcutts, one of Britain’s leading garden centre chains, has tasked retail design specialists Dalziel & Pow with making them a lifestyle destination for families. The inspiration for this 5300 sqm store is ‘a big country home’ with floors in BPF21/1611 Henley Oak Jutland, mixed widths.

Havwoods At Domotex 2016
For the very first time Havwoods attended Domotex, the leading trade fair for floor coverings, as an exhibitor. The aim was to identify potential international partners in order to improve the company’s global service and, aided by our beautifully renovated 1960’s Routemaster bus, we certainly caused quite a stir.

Installing a Floating Shelf
This video shows how to clad a wall using battens and create a floating shelf with the same wood using a secret fixing system.

Bespoke Kitchen
An interesting example of Havwoods cladding: unable to find the reclaimed timber units he wanted, this construction company boss used HRC1905 Vertical Solid Reclaimed Pine Grey Cladding to create a bespoke kitchen, then clad the table and benches with HRC1960 Reclaimed Oak.
