Introducing 404 Bakery 

Founded in 2021, 404 Bakery brings the heart of Hong Kong’s culinary heritage to London. Known for its creative blend of East-meets-West pastries and chocolate cakes, the bakery’s signature offerings include the Hong Kong-style pineapple bun and milk tea cake and its award-winning chocolate cake. After earning acclaim in Hong Kong, the team behind 404 Bakery relocated to London in 2022, determined to introduce the city to their unique interpretation of nostalgic Asian flavours with a European twist. 

The Flooring Solution 

When designing their new London space, the team at 404 Bakery knew the interior had to reflect the same quality, warmth, and creativity found in their baking. The choice of flooring played a crucial role in setting the tone. To create a welcoming and durable environment, 404 Bakery selected Bronzo Select 120mm 1-Strip (HW16406) from Havwoods’ Italian Collection.

Crafted from prime-grade European oak, known for its strength and refined grain. The thermo-treated and brushed surface, finished with a matt lacquer, enhances the natural auburn hues adding warmth and visual interest to the bakery’s interior. With its tongue-and-groove installation and multi-layered birch plywood construction, the floor was perfect for a high-traffic, food-oriented business like 404 Bakery.
