Chiquito is a UK based restaurant chain that specialises in Tex-Mex foods, designed around a large bar and lounge-style restaurant with rustic interior decor based on traditional Mexican architecture and culture. The artefacts are indigenous, the colours are those of sun-dried clay, and brightly coloured, highly patterned fabrics contrast with dark wood. Here a Havwoods’ solid wood block, laid in a stretcher bond pattern and stained on-site, is used to contrast with the pre-finished smoked oak plank.
