A stunning destination for rest and relaxation, Grantley Hall is a luxurious hotel boasting elite fitness and spa facilities, along with restaurants onsite, set within beautiful surroundings. The historical 17th-century Palladian manor house is positioned within beautiful parkland and manicured gardens in the heart of the Ripon countryside, in Yorkshire.
For those guests taking advantage of the hotel’s beautiful accommodation, or spa facilities, a timeless yet contemporary space will greet them, featuring natural surfaces, calming textures and the beauty of Havwoods’ wood flooring products. The Italian Collection was used in the interiors of the luxury hotel as the flooring needed to provide a classical luxury feel, with the essence of contemporary style. The chevron boards of the Italian collection provided the perfect solution, especially when considering that the new flooring would need to work within existing floor levels in certain areas of the project. The superior quality look and feel proved an ideal choice within the Grade II listed interiors, as well as the brand new, modern interiors.
When considering an exterior flooring surface, the designer specified a decking material that would be low maintenance, practical and complement the overall calming scheme. When it comes to wood surfaces and the outdoors, the two don’t mix well. Wood’s naturally hydroscopic composition means that the structure can warp when exposed to water and heat. Our composite decking boards look, feel and are installed in the same way as natural wood, but they will not rot, splinter, warp or host algae growth, the latter of which means they are also highly anti-slip, even when wet. The Havwoods decking design brings the natural appeal of wood to the spa’s terrace with the resilience of a composite surface
Our plan at Grantley Hall has always been to create a traditional luxury feel, with a subtle hint of contemporary design. The Havwoods product range was perfect for us to exercise this ethos, without compromising the 5 star level of luxury expected. The choice to use Havwoods has no doubt massively enhanced the aesthetics for many areas at Grantley Hall.
