Natural Materials 

Set within the grounds of a listed family home in Hampshire, this pool house by designer Alexandra Young is made for relaxed, sociable living. 

The brief called for clever storage solutions, a compact kitchen, and a changing room, all within a structure that feels easy-going and timeless.  

With a beekeeper and potting shed aesthetic in mind, the interior design combines timber, stone and soft finishes. Beeswax yellow paint brings a gentle glow to the walls, complemented by handpicked fabrics on doors, windows and beneath the sink. 

Timber That Adds Texture 

A key feature of the interior is the use of Havwoods’ Brezza HW16415 timber cladding on the walls. With its sandy, weathered tone and refined grain, the engineered wood brings texture and warmth to the space.  

Selected not just for its appearance but also for its reliability, Brezza works well alongside the Portland stone flooring and other natural elements. 

It helps define the tone of the space without overpowering it, offering a material that is both consistent and characterful. The result is an interior that feels complete in its setting and ready to be enjoyed through all seasons.
