Like many London families, for the owners of this four-story Victorian terraced property extending their living space at the expense of their garden made total sense.
Bree Halligan Architects were appointed to provide a new open-plan kitchen and dining room, devising a single-height space with a frameless glazed side-return to create a courtyard-like outdoor area.
Internally “hardwearing materials were specified, as this is a large family that love entertaining and they wanted the interior to look better with age,” said Bree, hence light coloured brickwork, black painted timber and oak parquet flooring; from Havwoods, of course.
