Flooring the future of co-working

Connecting space, supporting new ways of working
LabTech commissioned Ambit to transform a previously disjointed rooftop footprint at LABS Hawley Wharf into a cohesive, multi-functional workspace - one that could support changing work patterns while maintaining a clear, considered aesthetic.
The project physically connects two separate buildings via an external bridge, capitalising on its elevated position and panoramic views across Regent’s Canal.
The design brief centred on creating a workspace that feels open, calm and flexible - an environment that encourages collaboration while remaining true to LabTech’s signature Scandinavian sensibility.
Signature Scandinavian style
HW2069 Holme from the PurePlank collection has been used throughout the workspace. It’s warm, grounded tone was selected to anchor the refined Scandinavian palette, creating visual continuity across open-plan areas, collaborative zones and informal breakout spaces.
Holme’s engineered construction delivers durability alongside a low-maintenance finish - essential qualities in a high-use commercial environment that must balance professional performance with a welcoming atmosphere. This makes it particularly well suited to dynamic workspaces where footfall, flexibility and long-term aesthetic integrity are equally important.

A calm, cohesive workplace experience
Holme plays a central role in defining the character of the LabTech workspace, introducing warmth, depth and tactile richness that softens the building’s minimalist architecture. Its understated elegance works in harmony with extensive glazing, enhancing natural light and creating interiors that feel both airy and grounded.
The result is a seamless experience as users move between collaborative zones, focused workspaces and breakout areas - unified by the flooring’s visual consistency and the calm rhythm it brings to the overall environment.
