This intricate project by Purcell Architects has transformed The Museum of Oxford, providing an immersive remodel that boasts charm and complements the already infamous architecture of the museum.

Providing a free-flowing feel, Havwoods was selected to supply a flooring that could ensure longevity and withstand the consistency of heavy footfall. By using the Jutland Rustic 120MM planks in a Herringbone design, it has created a beautiful backdrop to showcase the contents of the museum whilst also offering durability.

The high ceilings and white walls, along with the glass cabinetry and soft, brown accents, pair well with the traditional yet on-trend herringbone design.

The rustic planks coordinate with the historic memorabilia on display, whilst the pattern optimises the feel of the space and adds texture and depth to the generosity of the room size.

Where interest and appeal are concerned, the choice of flooring complements the intricacy of the building’s architecture, helping to build on the experience of the museum altogether.
