Set within a converted London warehouse, this apartment was transformed into a modern, light-filled interior using Havwoods’ Blanco Herringbone flooring. This project by Interiors by Laila combines personal touches with timeless materials to deliver a bright and characterful space.
Transforming a Warehouse Apartment

The New Crane Wharf Apartment Project began with a clear challenge; the original flat was dark and lacked modern finishes. Interiors by Laila was tasked with creating a more updated, brighter environment across this two-bedroom property.
Working within the context of a former warehouse, the goal was to retain character while improving light levels and modernising the overall aesthetic. Natural wood tones and pattern played a key role in rebalancing the space.
Why Havwoods?
Beyond simply brightening the space, Laila aimed to infuse the design with her client’s personal taste in both colour and pattern. A defining product of the project was the use of Havwoods HW3005 Blanco Herringbone Prime flooring throughout.
Having used Havwoods extensively in her other work, Laila selected Blanco Herringbone for its subtle tones, classic layout, and reliable quality. Not only is this product a go-to in her portfolio, but Laila also has it installed in her own home, which serves as a real-life showroom for her clients.
