The Start of a Dream Home
In the heart of the picturesque Surrey countryside is this barn conversion, reimagined into a warm and inviting home. The design’s goal was to retain the essence of the barn’s original features while introducing contemporary elements. With views of the Surrey countryside, the home offers a tranquil, rural escape while providing all the modern amenities of a stylish, functional living space.
The Designer’s Vision
The project was brought to life by Lisa Correia of Correia Interior Design Studio, whose vision was to preserve the barn’s character while incorporating modern design elements. Careful attention was given to the balance between contemporary and traditional styles. Lisa’s approach was to create a space that felt both fresh and timeless, ensuring the design complemented the surrounding countryside.
The Role of Havwoods
Two standout products from Havwoods were integral to the design’s success, elevating the space with texture, depth, and elegance. Leura from the PurePanel 3D collection was a feature piece in the living area, expertly applied to the walls to create a striking centre piece. This 3D design adds depth and richness to the space, further accentuating the rustic charm of the barn while introducing modern flair.
To complement the bold statement of the walls, the 10x6mm Feature Strip Polish Brass profile was incorporated into the design. This elegant metal feature serves as the perfect finishing touch, adding a refined, polished contrast to the natural wood and stone elements throughout the home.
