Set in Northumberland, home to many historic buildings, is this beautiful converted church. With grand high ceilings and well-appointed original wood detailing, this spacious building has been given an extreme transformation, combining the church’s traditional features with the homeowners’ own interior design flair.
This project has used two different flooring solutions from Havwoods throughout the home. In the grand hall, home to a large charismatic entertaining space, is the Arena 06 Prime from the PurePlank Collection.
The rich dark-brown shades of the planks complement the warm hues of the existing wooden interior, which is adorned with immaculate artwork, a traditional stained-glass window and delicate antique furniture. The style of the flooring remains in keeping with the age of the building, accentuating the property’s historic past.
Upstairs in the bedrooms, Gladesville Rustic planks from the V Collection were selected, whilst the Arena 06 Prime planks in a lighter shade have been used in the kitchen and hallway. The rustic effect of the Gladesville flooring pairs perfectly with the minimal yet traditional décor, allowing for seamless consistency throughout the home.
The narrow planks add a modern aesthetic and texture to the bedrooms, combined with playful pops of colour from the sage green wall panelling to the orange armchair in the master bedroom.
