The Potting Shed is a rustic, countryside resturant and a beautiful example of 'bringing the outside in' using wood surfaces on the flooring, walls and ceilings. The design features Euros and Notus from our Vertical Collection and reclaimed wood flooring from our Relik Collection.
Bringing the outside in
The Potting Shed is a rustic restaurant that has been created in the unusual style of a potting shed with a grass roof and decorated with gardening tools, urns and hidden delights. Set deep in the Kentish countryside, the design brief was to ‘bring the outside in’, creating a rustic, countryside feel, with interiors inspired by Scandinavian influences.
The big dining room, with its magnificent open kitchen, is vaulted with a wooden clad ceiling and opens onto a beautiful garden which boasts an amazing outside space with a children's play area, as well as being host to a herb and vegetable garden.
Immersive wood design
By using reclaimed engineered oak wood flooring from our Relik collection, Eurus - rustic pine rustic cladding and Notus rustic grey pine cladding from the Vertical Collection, Havwoods was able to bring the outdoors in, and add authentic character and charm to the restaurant and bar areas.
