Nordic Style Living
Designed by Husband and Wife and constructed by Pettypool Construction. The vision behind the design was to create an office and studio within a Nordic-style lodge, maximising the breathtaking views—an inspiration that led to its affectionate name, "The Shed." This stunning detached lodge showcases the transformative power of Havwoods’ Beck Rustic, a product that defines every inch of the interior from floors and walls to cabinetry, doors, and even concealed furniture elements.
The Beck Rustic boards create a warm, immersive environment where every surface seamlessly blends into the next. The interior doors, finished in the same material, disappear into the walls, concealing adjacent rooms and preserving the minimalist aesthetic. Even the Murphy bed, when not in use, folds away undetectably into the timber-clad wall, enhancing the sense of continuity.
A Studio with a View
One of the features of The Shed is its yoga studio, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the rolling countryside. Here, Beck Rustic not only provides a grounding aesthetic but also ensures a tactile, natural feel underfoot bridging the indoors and the surrounding landscape with effortless cohesion.
