Our Digital Marketing & Insight Director, Paul Moody, explores a selection of inspiring projects that showcase the versatility of our bestselling Elegante Veneers across a range of interior applications.
Naturally introducing depth and dimension to a space, our Elegante Veneers have become a popular choice among designers and homeowners looking to transform functional surfaces into distinctive design features. Launched in 2024, this ever-evolving collection offers a luxurious timber surface solution for everything from statement walls and bespoke joinery to cabinetry, furniture and curved architectural features.
Choose from Costato (ribbed), Fresato (milled) or Ondato (wave) shapes in a huge range of colours and shapes.
Elegante Veneers are also available in fire-rated versions tested and certified to B-s1, d0 classification and a wide range of colour-matched Flat Sheet options.
Using Ebony Elegante for bedroom statement walls and backdrops
One of the most interesting ways to introduce depth and character into a bedroom is through the considered use of darker timber tones. In this contemporary home, Ebony Ondato Plus and Ebony Ondato M22 Elegante Veneers have been used across both bedroom spaces to create striking architectural backdrops.
Part of our Cocoa colour group, the rich, dark tones of Ebony Ondato work particularly well alongside the neutral furnishings, contrasting textures and carefully considered accents of colour. It's a great example of how darker timber surfaces can bring warmth and visual interest to a space without overwhelming the wider design scheme.
A natural complement to timber staircases
Staircases and landings offer an interesting opportunity to introduce texture and continuity between different levels of a home. In this beautiful loft conversion, Oak Costato W3M5 Elegante Veneers were installed along the staircase walls and landing, creating a natural complement to the warm tones of the timber flooring.
Part of our Blonde colour group, the tactile, grooved surface of Oak Costato introduces depth and dimension, with the intricate detailing casting subtle shadows as light moves through the space. The result is a warm, inviting staircase that demonstrates how decorative timber surfaces can enhance functional spaces and create a cohesive design scheme.
Bringing texture and continuity to kitchen cabinetry
With designers seeking materials that offer consistency alongside the natural aesthetic of wood, Elegante Veneers provide an excellent choice for cabinetry with a premium aesthetic.
In this contemporary apartment, Oak Fresato Elegante Veneers were used across the kitchen cabinetry and breakfast bar alcove, complementing the lighter tones of our bestselling Holme herringbone timber flooring. The distinctive grooved detailing adds depth and visual interest, transforming functional cabinetry into a striking design feature.
Elegante across walls within workspaces
As workplace design continues to evolve, the use of tactile materials and natural finishes can help create inviting, visually engaging spaces.
In this workspace, our Ebony Fresato M5T05 Elegante Veneers were used consistently across hallways, meeting rooms and social spaces. With so much of the modern work day spent looking at screens, there's something particularly valuable about bringing natural materials and textures into the spaces where we work. They can help soften what might otherwise feel like a purely functional environment, creating somewhere people genuinely enjoy spending time.
Creating welcoming hospitality spaces with Elegante
In hospitality design, timber can have a particularly interesting role to play, bringing natural warmth and texture while offering designers the opportunity to create distinctive architectural features.
At Grilandia Restaurant in London's Mayfair, our White Oak Ondato M20 Elegante Veneers were selected alongside Brienne PurePanel to create a beautifully cohesive interior. Introducing a subtle natural palette and profiled texture into alcoves and bespoke seating, our Elegante complemented the restaurant's palette of natural fabrics, stone-effect surfaces and warm, neutral finishes.
