Our commitment to a lower-carbon future: Havwoods’ latest Net Zero Report
15 Dec 2025
Launched this week, our latest Net Zero Annual Report marks an important step in Havwoods' journey towards a lower-carbon future, setting out a transparent overview of our environmental impact and the actions we are taking to reduce it across our business. As we celebrate our 50th year, sustainability remains central to our global strategy. Across every team and region, we recognise environmental responsibility as a shared commitment, embedded into the daily fabric of Havwoods.
As we continue to celebrate our 50th year, sustainability remains central to our global strategy and is a fundamental driver behind everything we do.

Released this week, our latest Net Zero Report marks yet another major step forward, providing a transparent overview of our environmental impact and the actions we are taking to reduce it across all areas of our business. In partnership with leading sustainability consultancy Positive Planet, we measured our 2024 footprint at 3,977.7 tCO₂e, reflecting a 14% reduction since our 2023 base year.
These emissions are reported in line with the internationally recognised GHG Protocol, covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3 across our fleet, facilities, procurement, distribution, business travel and commuting. Significant progress includes a 66% reduction in Scope 1 emissions, the transition of all premises to 100% renewable electricity, and continued growth of our hybrid and electric fleet.
A central focus of the Report is our multi-point Carbon Reduction Action Plan, aligned with science-based targets. By 2030, we aim to reduce Scopes 1 and 3 by 42% and eliminate market-based Scope 2 emissions entirely, on our path to achieving Net Zero by 2050. This includes strategic investments in energy-efficient infrastructure, data-driven improvements in operational performance, and increased collaboration with suppliers who share our vision for sustainable innovation.

As Paul McManus, our Purchasing Director and Head of Global Compliance said, "From our expanded EPD coverage and supplier collaboration to our ongoing investment in logistics and green-energy infrastructure - sustainability continues to shape every decision we make. Our people are passionate about making a real difference and by establishing our 'Green Team' we can keep everyone focused and accountable for guiding Havwoods' long-term future. Our Net Zero Report reflects not only the progress we've achieved so far, but our commitment to ensuring that our wood surfaces always remain delivered with integrity, responsibility and purpose at their core."
