Located in the historic Mills & Grubb Building, the Rockrose workspace on the fourth floor of 300 Park Avenue South brings a refined, modern sensibility to a New York classic. Originally constructed in 1910, the 15 story building spans approximately 200,000 square feet and balances its architectural heritage with contemporary workplace needs.
Designing a Workspace
Evergreen Construction led the buildout, creating a bright, flexible office environment designed to support collaboration, focus, and long-term durability. Flooring played a critical role in defining the space, grounding the open plan layout while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic.

The Flooring Solution
Columba (HW16009P) from the Italian Collection was selected throughout the workspace. The prime grade European oak flooring features a soft platinum tone that enhances natural light and complements the neutral palette of the interiors. Installed in a classic herringbone pattern, Columba adds subtle movement and texture without overwhelming the architecture.
Why Columba Works for the Workplace
Columba is exceptionally well suited for commercial and office environments. Its engineered construction offers stability under heavy foot traffic, rolling furniture, and daily wear common in high use workspaces.
The light platinum finish reflects daylight and artificial lighting, contributing to a bright and inviting atmosphere that supports productivity and comfort. The herringbone format also helps conceal minor wear over time, making it a practical yet elegant choice for long term performance.
In addition, Columba is PEFC™ Certified PEFC/16-37-1417, aligning with sustainability goals and responsible sourcing requirements often prioritized in modern commercial projects.
