Islington is one of London’s most trendy, eclectic neighbourhoods, boasting a rich history and a strong sense of community. Buildings here make a statement – they have stood tall for years and feature grand designs.

How do you turn a one-bedroom maisonette into a light, airy and sociable Parisian style apartment?  This was the challenge facing Shacklewell Architects. Their solution was to expand the property upwards - and open the space below - by creating a Mansard roof extension to house the bedroom and bathroom. The bottom floor was then turned into a large open plan kitchen/living/dining area.  

Situated in a secluded setting in the famed Eden Valley between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, is the Holesfoot Estates project. Sitting centrally within 20 acres of its own grounds, the property is the perfect holiday and wedding destination thanks to its stunning location.   

Situated in the middle of busy Copenhagen close to the central station is the modern and youthful Next House Copenhagen project.
