Featuring Havwoods’ Mentone Herringbone timber flooring, a sweeping spiral staircase, and marble and brass detailing, the renovation blends natural warmth with sculptural elegance, creating a sophisticated yet inviting residence filled with light and texture.
'Georgie' is a refined residential renovation and restoration in the heart of Malvern, Victoria. Designed by Design Cube and Jenny Manrique Interior Design, and brought to life by APC Build, the project balances traditional craftsmanship with modern luxury to create a warm and inviting family home.
From the first impression, Georgie is defined by sculptural elegance and meticulous attention to detail. A sweeping spiral staircase crowned by a circular skylight draws the eye upward, flooding the interior with natural light and a sense of grandeur. The home’s design celebrates light and form, with each space crafted to feel both contemporary and timeless.
Across the interiors, Havwoods’ HW4120 Mentone Herringbone timber flooring from the Venture Plank collection was chosen for its soft, natural blonde tones and refined herringbone pattern. The UV-oiled finish and brushed surface texture ensure both durability and sophistication, grounding the home with warmth and timeless style.
Every element of the Georgie Malvern home has been carefully considered to create a luxurious yet welcoming family environment. The herringbone timber floors provide a natural foundation, their soft golden-blonde tones enhancing the sense of light and space. These are paired with a striking curved marble island bench in the kitchen, with marbled wall cladding and a bespoke rangehood adding layers of elegance. Brass trims and fixtures introduce subtle highlights throughout, while custom wainscoting enriches the interiors with depth and texture.
