The Pakenham Home project was completed with traditional elegance and contemporary design, creating a warm space for large gatherings and entertaining. Featuring Havwoods' Amazon Wide Board flooring that covers 80% of the home and enhances a luxurious atmosphere. Meticulous planning ensured a flawless finish, while Havwoods’ PurePanel timber veneer cabinetry adds seemless sophistication throughout. The result is a harmonious blend of luxury and tranquility, showcasing expert craftsmanship.
The Pakenham Home project is a stunning fusion of traditional elegance and contemporary refinement, designed to accommodate large gatherings with ease. The clients envisioned a warm and inviting space that would serve as both a beautiful residence and a seamless environment for entertaining. With this vision in mind, the Biltar team emphasised the importance of material selection in shaping the home’s aesthetic and functionality.
A defining feature of the project is the extensive use of Havwoods' Amazon Wide Board flooring, covering 80% of the home’s floor. Specified by Graham Jones Design, this beautiful timber product from the popular Havwoods Venture Plank collection, not only introduced a sense of tranquil warmth but also elevated the everyday luxury of the space.
Havwoods timber flooring was chosen not only for its quality and hard-wearing properties, but also for its neutral tonal appearance, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the various spaces within the home.
Given the complexity of the layout, meticulous planning was required to conceal expansion joints and achieve a perfect finish in hallways. By collaborating closely with Master Craft Flooring, and relying on the precision-milled boards, Biltar overcame the many complex challenges, delivering a polished result that speaks to expert craftsmanship.
In addition to the Amazon Wide Plank timber flooring, Mendes, Vertou, and Brienne from Havwoods’ PurePanel Timber Veneers collection were also utilised for the stunning timber cabinetry built throughout the home.
This included beautiful custom cabinetry in bathrooms which featured elegant curves achieved using Havwoods Brienne PureVeneer 1mm pre-finished timber veneer, and the walk-in wardrobe of dreams - designed with PurePanel for drawers, doors and the complete wardrobe fit out.
In the kitchen, living and home bar areas of the house, PurePanel continued to feature in stunning cabinetry, helping to created a versatile entertainment space and relaxed, comfortable lounging spaces, with durable, seamless timber cabinetry that tied in beautifully with the Amazon wide plank timber flooring, expertly delivering on the client’s project goals.
