Designed by Studio & You, Crown Jewel is a complete architectural and interior transformation centred on longevity, personality and everyday comfort. Anchored by Havwoods’ Ryde Plank timber flooring, the home pairs warm, natural timber tones with bold materials and an extensive art collection, creating a cohesive yet expressive backdrop for modern living.
A backdrop for a life well lived
Crown Jewel is a project that saw the Studio & You team tasked with creating and delivering a complete architectural and interior transform, but it was more than just a renovation. The brief was to create a ‘forever home’.
A home that would feel layered, vibrant and deeply personal, all while remaining comfortable and functional for years to come.
Working closely with the clients, the team had a clear vision: a modernised home enriched with texture, colour and inspired by their vibrant personality.
Every material selection was chosen to carry both warmth and longevity while complementing the client’s extensive art collection.
It was never about following trends, it was about building a backdrop for a life well lived.

Throughout Crown Jewel, flooring simply isn’t a surface, it’s the material the carries the weight of daily life. It influences the atmosphere, light reflection and emotional comfort ensuring the modernised home renovation feels authentic and welcoming.
The oak that set the tone
From the beginning, the flooring was an integral part of the overall design to ensure it would provide a quiet canvas for the expressive finishes. Havwoods’ Ryde Plank from the V Collection was chosen for the floor and became the foundation for the entire palette moving forward.
“It was the perfect classic, oak board we were looking for,” explained Studio & You. And from that decision, everything else followed.
The natural timber tone is the anchor point of the home, balancing the statement marble benchtop in the kitchen and the bold artworks adorning the walls throughout. Rather than competing with the feature elements, the oak tones enhance them to provide warmth and cohesion.
Simple, reliable specification
Collaboration played a key role in the project’s success. The team turned to Havwoods not just for product, but for range and reliability.
