White Wood Flooring

White wood flooring could well be the perfect solution for anyone wishing to create a cool, clean, on-trend visual with all the benefits associated with a real wood floor.

Whites, creams and light greys make a room appear brighter and more spacious. They are calm and serene shades and, when used for flooring, provide an amazingly blank canvas upon which you can implement any colour scheme.

We offer Virtual Showroom Appointments. Contact us for more info.

WHAT COLOURS TO PAIR WITH WHITE WOOD FLOORING?

White wood gives a room a relaxed, refined and modern look. It is a timeless colour that brightens up any space and can be used to create a beach-side aesthetic or a minimalist, rustic look depending on your design concept.

An advantage of white wood floors is that it can be paired with a range of colours thanks to its neutral properties. However, we have found that our white floors are paired best with:

  • Blue
  • Red
  • Brown
  • Yellow
  • Orange
  • Purple
  • Black

ARE WHITE WOOD FLOORS HARD TO KEEP CLEAN?

Surprisingly white wood floors aren’t as difficult to keep clean as you may think. They do require frequent cleaning, but this is not rigorous or time-consuming. What's more, because a wooden floor is so easy to keep clean, a light colour is not the impractical option it may be in other forms of floor covering, such as tiles or laminate.

HOW TO CLEAN WHITE WOOD FLOORS

There’s a few ways to keep your white wood floor looking fresh and clean.

FREQUENT VACUUMING CLEARS SURFACE LEVEL DUST AND DIRT

This is one of the easiest and quickest ways to thoroughly clean your floor. Regular vacuuming will remove the surface level dust and dirt that has built up.

When choosing a vacuum, make sure you buy one that is designed for hard surface flooring that has enough power to lift dirt. You should ensure the vacuum does not have any parts that will scratch or damage the floor.

REGULAR CLEANING WITH A SPRAY MOP MAINTAINS A PRISTINE LOOK

Regular cleaning with a spray mop, will maintain the pristine look of a white floor. Mopping floors has the advantage of getting rid of any grime build up, dust or debris that was missed by the vacuum.

PLACE RUGS STRATEGICALLY AT ENTRYWAYS

To help you with the maintenance, you can place rugs at entryways of the room and encourage guests to take off their shoes when entering.

WHICH SHADE OF WHITE TIMBER SHOULD I CHOOSE?

We stock three shades of white timber that you can choose from. These include white, cream and light grey.

WHY CHOOSE WHITE TIMBER FLOORING

White timber offers a classic and pure aesthetic that has the power to transform a room. Pure white creates a fresh and peaceful appearance, as well as the impression that smaller spaces are much larger.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CHOOSING CREAM TIMBER?

Cream timber is warmer and richer than pure white wood floors. It is an off-white colour, which is the perfect foundation for your room design. It’s light shade similarly opens up a room and creates a modern aesthetic.

IS A LIGHT GREY TIMBER FLOOR FOR YOU?

The darkest shade of white is actually the lightest shade of grey when it comes to timber flooring. The darker tone is cosier than your pale and cream white flooring, perfect for open-plan or larger spaces. It provides a peaceful and cool appearance that brings a sense of sophistication to any room.
